Modern Neutrals / Swan Hill / Slinky Malinky

Formed in Blackwood, South Wales, the five-piece alt-rock band Modern Neutrals are an energetic blend of noise rock and funk. Their sound combines toe-tapping riffs with soulful vocals to create blistering, high-octane rock ballads. Since 2019, “The Neuts” have left a lasting impression in every venue they have set foot in.

Following up their successful 2024 release of “Blue,” a single that Adam Walton of BBC Introducing dubbed “an explosion of noise-rock fueled repetitive tension,” The Neuts return with their latest standalone record, “Ain’t That Something.”

Mixed and mastered by Jason Savory, “Ain’t That Something” is a heartfelt rock ballad that explores the frustrations caused by those closest to us. An atmospheric expansion in their sound, taking listeners through five minutes of melodic reflection.
