Minas returns to Le Pub and brings along the otherworldly Red Telephone and atmospheric electro pop, Mogan to put on a madness of a night in aid of Medical Aid for Palestinians.
MINAS
Emerging from the South Wales Valleys disillusioned with the world outside, Minas, an Athens-born headcase tried making sense of things with his band through music. It seems to be working out, after their debut album paired with the riveting live shows post-lockdown brought some serious noise down upon the UK and the Minas name began to grow. An EP, 2 national tours and a couple international bookings later they’ve decided to start ramping things up, come check it out.
RED TELEPHONE
Hailing from Cardiff, Red Telephone’s richly layered alt-rock could have emanated from a club in Blade Runner's dystopian LA - combining angular guitars, Krautrock-inspired rhythms and New Wave-tinged synths with infectious pop sensibilities. Drawing on post punk, synth pop and industrial rock influences the band has been catching the attention of DJs across BBC 6 Music, BBC R1, Amazing Radio and Radio X; with comparisons to the likes of MGMT, Mitski and Berlin-era Bowie being drawn.
MOGAN
MOGAN blends brash synths with brooding atmospherics and chunky drum loops to create intensely stark, lo-fi, electro-pop. They started their musical career in Cardiff but over the last year has been firmly establishing themselves as a Manchester resident. Their live shows bring a sense of theatrics with outlandish costumes and compelling performances. A truly memorable and impactful experience.
