The March Violets + Velocette

Once Upon A Time in Leeds, 1981. The March Violets strum their first riff and scrawl their first set list. Their impressive post-punk legacy stretches from six BBC sessions (including three John Peel sessions), indie chart successes Radiant Boys EP, Grooving in Green, Snake Dance and Turn to the Sky (featured in the John Hughes movie, Some Kind of Wonderful), all the way to the 21^st century reunion, headlining festivals across Europe and the USA and storming Record Store Day 2021 and 2022 with sell-out double albums Big Soul Kiss and Made Glorious.

Founder-members Rosie Garland (performer, poet and author) and Tom Ashton (guitarist, producer and studio owner) are joined by Mat Thorpe (bassist and vocalist). The band has enjoyed rapturous receptions on UK/EU/USA tours, including headline shows at the legendary Wave Gotik Treffen (Germany), Levitation (Austin TX), A Murder of Crows (NYC), DarkMad, Dark Malta, Deadinburgh Festival and Tomorrow’s Ghosts Festival (Whitby Goth Weekend, UK).
